E2 NY authored this memo in opposition to a local bill aimed at adding unnecessary and misguided regulations on wind power facilities within a 40-mile radius of U.S. Department of Defense airfields or airbases. Along with NRDC and the Alliance for Clean Energy New York, E2 NY will send its own memo to key NY assembly members.

E2 NY sent a letter on this subject last year and E2 has weighed in on similar issues in other states to push back against attempting to claim wind turbines that get anywhere close to military bases interfere with radar.
