• E2 stayed busy in California in 2017, hosting events featuring policymakers and thought-leaders from San Francisco to San Diego, organizing multiple trips to Sacramento, and advocating on a broad range of policy issues, from national marine sanctuaries to traffic congestion pricing.
  • Our flagship achievement, however, was our engagement on Cap-and-Trade: with the help of E2 members from all three state chapters, E2 contributed to a successful legislative effort in California to extend the state’s landmark Cap-and-Trade program through 2030, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, raising revenue for green projects with a focus on assisting disadvantaged communities, and drawing greater cleantech investment to California.
