Statement from E2 Advocate Andy Wunder and Paired Power Inc. CCO Mark Bauhaus

San Francisco, CA (September 10, 2018) – Today, California Governor Jerry Brown signed into law one of the most ambitious clean energy policies in the world, accelerating and raising California’s current Renewables Portfolio Standard (RPS) to 60% by 2030 and establishing a goal for 100% clean energy by 2045.

The following is a statement from Andy Wunder, Western States Advocate of E2 (Environmental Entrepreneurs):

“California’s climate leadership and decision to embrace clean, renewable energy is not just good for the environment, it’s good for California’s economy. California has the strongest clean energy economy in the nation, providing more than 500,000 jobs and contributing billions of dollars to the state’s thriving economy.

“This bill will further California’s clean energy economic success story, ensuring that additional job creation and investment flow into the state, providing a model for how global economies can tackle climate change while reaping the economic benefits it generates .”

The following is a statement from Mark Bauhaus, an E2 member and Chief Commercialization Officer of Paired Power Inc., a solar-to-electric vehicle technology company.:

“By sending a market signal that California will obtain 100% of its electricity from clean energy sources by 2045, our state is tangibly encouraging investors, entrepreneurs & workers to build on the 529,000 clean energy jobs already propelling state economic growth figures”
