The Green Jobs Collective

Project Description

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics defines “green jobs” as jobs in businesses that produce goods or services that benefit the environment or conserve natural resources. There is a disconnect between the green jobs in the market and education about these jobs, especially for marginalized communities. Lack of education or awareness about economic opportunities deters individuals from applying for these jobs. This project will bridge this gap through private and public partnerships and connect individuals with green job opportunities.

Project Goals

The Green Jobs Collective will be a virtual resource center that will prioritize matching individuals that are legally authorized to work in the U.S. with green/clean jobs in New York City.
