- E2’s New England Chapter celebrated a fantastic 2017 during which it hosted four major events with business leaders from across Massachusetts focusing on clean energy innovation, policy education, and action at the state and regional level to combat negative action at the federal level.
- The Chapter played an important role in mobilizing the business community in support of the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) and calls to protect the US’ first Atlantic Ocean Marine Monument.
- In the year ahead, the Chapter will coordinate with groups from across the region on the Transportation-Climate Initiative as well as legislative pushes to increase Massachusetts’ renewable portfolio standard and to bring the Commonwealth’s grid into the 21st Century.
- The Chapter also plans on extending its outreach efforts to a wider array of potential members, including younger emerging leaders; additional mainstream businesses; and those outside of the Greater Boston Metro Area in Central and Western Mass.
