Since the Inflation Reduction Act passed, 210 major new clean energy projects have been announced, which have the potential to drive up to $86.3 billion in private investment, says E2.
The two other energy projects include an offshore wind terminal in Salem and a solar project in Worcester. The solar project, announced only a few weeks ago, is being built near Holy Cross College, according to E2 data.
E2 reported that Republican districts accounted for 60% of the jobs estimated to be created and 63% of the new investment under IRA. Over 74,000 direct jobs have been created by these manufacturing announcements, according to an E2 report.
