Crowdinvesting for Energy Efficiency

Project Description

Greg’s project aims to develop an online marketplace for energy efficiency in small commercial buildings, connecting eligible projects with qualified energy service contractors and third party investment capital from individuals and companies — piloting in Boulder and then expanding into more cities over time.

Project Goals

  1. Overcome the market barriers that have held back progress in the small commercial sector (43 billion square feet in the US)
  2. Engage mainstream capital by generating consistent double-digit financial returns
  3. Offer a new avenue for investors to achieve measurable impact by offsetting 86 million tons of carbon emissions
