Effectiveness of Public-Private Clean Energy Projects

Project Description

Evaluate how local renewable energy projects influence public opinion related to climate change and the role of government in addressing energy and climate issues.

Project Goals

  1. Document compelling cases of rural towns in the intermountain west that have engaged their communities as they pursue local renewable energy programs through both written reports and mixed media (video, photography).
  2. Evaluate whether community programs that engage members in renewable energy development lead to increased support for government intervention to address climate change.
  3. Evaluate whether specific types of community engagement efforts are more effective at not only increasing support for renewables, but also impact how climate opinions are changed through those programs.
