Clean energy businesses in South Dakota added more than 190 workers in 2022, now employing 12,003 South Dakotans. That’s according to a new analysis of employment data released this week by the national, nonpartisan business group E2 (Environmental Entrepreneurs) and Evergreen Climate Innovations.  The energy efficiency sector continued to lead clean energy in total jobs in 2022 in South Dakota with more than 7,400 workers. The fastest growing sector in 2022 in South Dakota was grid & storage with 6.7 percent growth, adding over 30 new jobs for a total of 482 workers.
