• E2 PA maintained a statewide reach in 2017 by hosting Clean Jobs Forums in Allentown and Erie; legislator and media tours of clean energy businesses in Pittsburgh and State College, and the 3rd annual statewide solar summit of solar professionals with an advocacy day in Harrisburg.
  • The E2 message was amplified with a number of speaking engagements about the Clean Jobs PA report at the Indiana County Sustainable Economic Task Force, the international Climate Reality Project training in Pittsburgh, Smart Energy Initiative in Norristown, and energy conferences at Carnegie Mellon and Penn State.
  • E2 played a key role in organizing business voices that led to the passage of Act 40, which permits only in-state solar generation to qualify for PA’s solar renewable energy credits (previously available to all systems within the region).
  • In 2018, E2 will focus on convening a clean jobs coalition of businesses, non-profits, unions, and decision makers to identify existing clean jobs resources and to create a strategic economic development plan to encourage the growth of the clean energy sector in western Pennsylvania as well as more clean energy business tours, events, and legislative pushes for energy efficiency and renewables.
