E2 Philadelphia Roundtable: More Jobs, Less Carbon; How Good Policy + Good Environment = Good Business

On April 22, E2 hosted its inaugural roundtable in Pennsylvania. Joined by partners including the City of Philadelphia’s Mayor’s Office, PennFuture, Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia, and the Delaware Valley Green Building Council, the discussion centered around how the federal Clean Power Plan and state and local policies can benefit both the environment and the economy.

The roundtable was an opportunity for E2 to showcase its Clean Jobs Pennsylvania report. As the report showed, more than 57,000 Pennsylvanians already work in clean energy. That number can grow exponentially with smart policies like the proposed Clean Power Plan, which would cut carbon emissions from existing power plants in Pennsylvania by 31 percent while substantially increasing renewable energy and energy efficiency.
