Overview

On November 6, Washington voters will decide the fate of the largest ballot attempt to enact a price on carbon in the country. If it passes, the business community and government will need to work with the environmental community to plan implementation and get the most benefit for the buck. If it fails, we can either retreat to status quo, or take action that puts into place practical & effective policies that reduce carbon meaningfully and economically, respecting the voters’ sentiments. No matter what, emotions will run high and there will be a need to reflect, restore, and reset. Anyone with a stake in this issue will want to attend for what will certainly be a lively discussion.
