• In Oregon, E2 and its members are preparing for a massive push to pass a statewide Cap-and-Invest program (Oregon’s version of Cap-and-Trade) in early 2018, during the state’s short legislative session. E2 tilled the soil for this campaign by traveling to Salem, OR with a delegation of E2 members in mid-November, holding a legislative briefing on the proposed program and meeting individually with Senators and Assembly members on both sides of the aisle. E2 continues to seek out new strategic business voices throughout Oregon and coordinate with our in-state partners on strategy and messaging as we work towards the state enacting this critical program.
  • in Washington, E2 has begun exploring ways to advance a low-carbon fuels standard in the upcoming legislative session and is closely monitoring the possibility of a cap-and-trade initiative, as well as other clean energy issues.
