On April 29, over 200,000 Americans from a broad array of backgrounds came to Washington for the People’s Climate March, highlighting the urgent need to address the climate crisis. E2 was there of course, with a contingent of business leaders, friends and staff, to bring the clean jobs message to both Congress and White House, as the march made its way down the National Mall.

The following Monday and Tuesday, May 1-2, around 40 business leaders from E2, ASBC and several other groups organized an advocacy trip in Washington D.C. to meet with lawmakers from across the political spectrum and discuss issues of importance to continued growth in the clean energy economy. Delegates met with around 70 members of Congress and their staff.
