WASHINGTON – The Biden administration today announced an executive order directing the federal government to leverage the power of procurement to shift the government to 100 percent clean vehicles, clean energy and net-zero energy efficiency in buildings by 2050.
The move will also advance private-sector innovation, investment and jobs and help put our economy on the path to a cleaner economy, according to the national nonpartisan business group E2 (Environmental Entrepreneurs).

“From communications to medical devices to space travel, federal procurement has created and driven markets, jobs and innovation since the founding of our country.
“This smart executive order will help to do the same, while also helping combat climate change and saving taxpayers money.”
