Rebecca Eaton got the bug for climate action while working in a massive industrial wastewater treatment plant in upstate New York. Set against the natural beauty of the area, she became convinced that businesses could help communities prosper while significantly reducing their environmental footprint. After obtaining a Master’s in Environmental Management and Policy by going to school at night, Rebecca returned to her hometown of Washington, DC, to lead climate-related corporate sustainability disclosure and partnership programs at Business for Social Responsibility and World Wildlife Fund.

Over the years, Rebecca has worked with Fortune 500 companies and environmental organizations to measure, analyze, and reduce the environmental impact and greenhouse gas footprint of the business community. In addition, her journey has led her to help government agencies on a variety of workforce development, infrastructure, and other projects.

With decades of experience in leading successful projects, she is as passionate about climate resilience as she is about effective project management. As a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), she has had the pleasure of managing complex projects from design through implementation for consulting firms, government agencies, private-sector companies, and nonprofit organizations.

Rebecca founded Eaton Synergies, LLC, in 2017 to provide high-quality products and services to clients who need access to deep professional experience in a variety of sectors. Eaton Synergies is an Oregon-certified Women Business Enterprise and Emerging Small Business. Joining Environmental Entrepreneurs (E2) has been another rewarding aspect of launching her own company. Using our group business savvy to help the planet, what’s not to love?!
