Overview

Please join E2 to examine the findings of our just-released Clean Jobs Pennsylvania 2020 report.

Our discussion will outline how 2019 marked the seventh straight year of growth in Pennsylvania clean energy jobs and why clean energy has the greatest potential to support future economic growth as we recover from the job losses suffered as a result of COVID-19.

As detailed in the report, 2019 saw the clean energy industry add jobs to Pennsylvania’s economy five faster than statewide employment before the pandemic. While our findings also show that Pennsylvania has experienced some of the largest clean energy job losses in the country, our panel will detail how expanding energy efficiency, renewable energy and the electrification of transportation and buildings can create tens of thousands of family-sustaining jobs, attract billions of dollars of private investment and generate new revenues for state and local governments at a time when the need has never been greater–and cut pollution in the process.

Join us for a deeper dive into the state’s growth potential and the policies needed to take advantage of the job-creating, economic recovery opportunity that clean energy can bring.
