Advancing Clean Energy and Sustainable Enterprise in Central Appalachia

Project Description

Social entrepreneurship and sustainability-focused companies are on the rise in central Appalachia, and many focus on clean energy.  There remains a relatively low public awareness of these enterprises and the quality and variety of jobs and impacts they represent. There are relatively few support resources focused on start-ups in this sector.

Project Goals

This project seeks to raise awareness of existing companies and jobs through a select number of case narrative highlights. The project also will produce a brief resource guide as well as an in-person workshop or convening for a small cohort of entrepreneurs and partners.
